Personal Reflection, Poetry

Bow River

As the river flows peaceful and calm

I sit here and remember my mom

A place that she’s never seen

A chance for a son to live his dream

The places I’ve been

The life I’ve lived

A parents loving, ultimate gift

Gone too soon

Still, I live

To honor her memory

A full life lived

For those that had come before me and sacrificed so I could have an opportunity that they never did, thank you for the ultimate gift.
